Connecting directly to your databases

PersivX allows seamless connection to databases for creating live reports and dashboards. Currently, the platform supports MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and SAP HANA, with plans to add more databases soon.

Before establishing a connection, you will need:

1. Host Name and IP address of the server hosting the database.
2. Database Name
3. Username and Password for authentication

When adding a new database as a datasource, PersivX will prompt you to provide the above information.

Note

PersivX only requires read-only access to your database. It will never attempt to update or modify any data within your database.

If the connection is valid, PersivX will automatically retrieve the table names, column names, column types, and foreign key relationships from the database. This process may take a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the database schema.
